Are you tired of feeling like no matter how hard you try, you merely cannot get your life in order? Have you been forgetting important dates and missing important deadlines due to your disorganization? Feeling as though you are all over the place and having a hard time with keeping up? Fret not. I have been there, and have since mastered becoming much more organized and feeling much more at peace despite my constant massive to-do list. After reading these easy steps to becoming more organized, you will be well on your way to being the envy of even the most organized women.
Use the calendar in your phone to keep track of important events, dates, reminders as well as due dates for bills. You will always have your phone with you so this is the easiest way to ensure you stay on track. While using this method, you can also send meeting invites to others who need to be kept in the loop of the same important dates.
Spend time planning your week each Sunday evening. Not only with this help you get a feel for what you have coming down the pike, you will also be able to plan time to do things you enjoy during the week ahead.
Plan your day in 30 minute increments. This has been my saving grace. I have a tendency to be all over the place at times because I always have a lot on my plate. And I am an overachiever to the max. Planning my day in 30 minute increments allows me to remain accountable for how I am spending my day. 24 hours in a day should be enough to get everything done that you need to get done if you are not wasting your time on idle insignificant items like too much time on social media.
If you are one who would like to spend less time on social media, check to see if your smart phone offers a setting that will allow you to set timers for social media. Most newer phones offer this option. Keep your social media use at a minimum by using the timers. It has helped me regain a lot of my time back.
Keep a to-do list to hold yourself accountable. Checking off tasks once I’ve completed them makes me feel so amazing on the inside.
Prioritize and try not to do too much. Pace yourself to prevent burn out or procrastination.
No matter how hard it is, do not procrastinate. In fact, begin with your least favorite or most difficult task to kick start your productivity.
Don’t be so hard on yourself if you have a few hiccups. Adopting a new approach to getting things done is not always an easy task; however, it will be well worth the consistency, dedication, and hard-work in the end.
A more organized approach to life will help you find time that you didn’t even know you had. And will help you to be a lot less stressed during times when you feel as though your to-do list is getting a bit out of hand. Try these easy steps to finally get organized. There is no better time than today to get started!
